Art Fair Info

In 2015, we changed the name of this very successful exhibition to   The Reading Charity Art Fair. This was to reflect the evolving range of artistic activities open to artists and members of the public. We decided to take a break of a year to further-develop and improve the structure and content of the fair, now to be held in October 2017 at a new venue in Reading. Leighton Park School is a great venue and we very much appreciate the support they are giving us. The School has excellent free parking facilities. We will have large exhibition area with good natural lighting.

In 2017, as well as the opportunity to view and purchase a painting or ceramic, there will be some new and interesting activities added to the Art Fair. Details will be included on this website as they become available. The money raised from the Art Fair will support the Royal Berks Charity to help it fund a new scanner at the RBH to improve the diagnosis of breast cancer. Our previous eight exhibitions have been a great success, raising over £24,000 for charitable causes.

We are part of the Reading Cultural Partnership and hope to have the support of Reading Borough Council to maintain this exhibition as one of the Thames Valley's premier art exhibitions for both professional and amateur artists.

The Inner Wheel Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh will manage the ever-popular Art Café so you can look forward to some first class home made cakes to go with your tea and coffee.

We are also delighted that the Reading Guild of Artists is continuing to support us and hope to attract more visitors, sell more artworks and raise a greater sum to donate to local good causes.

There are prizes and commendations to be won by exhibitors whose work catches the eye of our expert judging panel. Whether you are an artist or a visitor, we look forward to seeing you in October 2017.

Further detailed information is available by clicking on the sections shown in the menu on the left.
