RBH Maternity Block Art Exhibition

An Additional Opportunity to Exhibit at the RBH Maternity Block

Artists planning to exhibit at the Reading Charity Art Fair 2021 have an added opportunity to show their artwork to a wider audience in the Royal Berkshire Hospital Maternity Block corridors between 5th September and 24th October.  The RBH Maternity Block is the tall stand-alone building on Craven Road, between the main RBH entrance and Endoscopy building. Artists should park on the raised Maternity Block parking area. For handing in artwork, access to the building is through the automatic double doors on this level into the lobby.

If you wish to participate in this additional exhibition, please complete the registration form and e-mail it to the Reading Charity Art Fair RBH exhibition organiser, Carole Edwards ( by 1st September 2021 or before if possible.

The date for hand-in of artworks for the RBH Maternity Block Exhibition is Sunday 5th September, between 10am and 11.30am. Exhibited artwork may be collected on Sunday 24th October between 12 noon and 1.30pm. Artists are very welcome to show the same work at the RBH and the Art Fair.


Additional information for artists.

Two pieces of work may be exhibited, maximum size 76 x 50 cm (30 x 20"). Payment for any sales of Artwork on display at the RBH Maternity Block Exhibition must be made by the purchaser to the Reading Charity Art Fair. The organisers of the Art Fair

Artists should be sensitive to the feelings of patients and visitors to the RBH Maternity Block by ensuring that work handed in does not include images of pregnancy, babies, children, families, religious subjects or nudes.


Purchasing paintings from the RBH exhibition

There will be a notice at the RBH exhibition asking purchasers to send requests, including a photo, if possible, to the Art Fair Secretary who will respond with our bank details for payment. Some artists may have requested that their paintings are exhibited in both exhibitions, in which case, sold paintings will be available from the Leighton Park School after 4.30pm on Sunday 31st October.
